The AP 140/910 optic is suitable for both mobile astrophotography and the observatory. The large aperture of 140 millimeters, combined with the color-pure imaging provided by the triplet design, allows for a wealth of applications.

The 3-element objective with two ultra-low dispersion ED elements is fully adjustable. The color correction meets the requirements of demanding astrophotographers: even bright stars show no color fringing. Visual observation of bright planets is a huge pleasure with this obstruction-free aperture with relatively high resolution! Addictive!

The apochromat is equipped with a large 4" R&P eyepiece focuser. The focuser allows a variety of connection options for a screwed connection to an astro camera. Full frame cameras are also fully illuminated.

Prior to shipment, the mechanical system (focuser) is optimally adjusted. The collimation is checked at the optical bench (autocollimation) and improved if necessary.A series of images is created, which is included with each telescope. Star image extra- and intrafocal, star image in focus and a Ronchi image.
