Tecnosky Apochromatic refractor AP 130/900 SLD OWL OTA

Description:

This apochromatic refractor has a triplet objective made of Ohara's special FPL-53 glass, an element of lanthanum, and another low dispersion glass. The combination of these three glasses results in excellent color correction even for very bright objects.

Compared to previous versions of the AP 130/900, this model has a new lens cell that is much more thermally stable than its predecessors, and the tube is also lighter. The tube has a matte finish inside and is equipped with lens hoods.

With an apochromat of this size and quality, all possibilities are open to you:

High-resolution observing: the AP 130/900 can make double stars visible, but also show exciting details on the moon and planets.

Deep sky observations: Thanks to the relatively high and obstruction-free aperture of 130 millimeters and the excellent contrast of the color-corrected optics, it is a pleasure to observe nebulae, star clusters and galaxies. Stars appear like pointed pins.

Photography at the highest magnification: with a high-quality 4x Barlow, you can photograph the moon and planets with extraordinary detail.

Photography of deep sky objects: In combination with a flattener/reducer, the Apo delivers best results thanks to its high color correction!

The generously sized focuser illuminates full-frame cameras and allows precise focusing with 1:10 reduction. The integrated field rotator allows the camera to be rotated to the desired orientation for best framing. The focuser accepts 2" sockets via a self-centering locking system. The same system is also built into the adapter for 1.25" sleeves. This allows the accessories to be gently clamped centrally, and even with thick gloves on!

The newly designed tube clamps allow the use of Vixen and Losmandy style prism rails. Above the rings is a comfortable handle, which is also ideal for mounting other accessories, for example a guidescope.

All apochromats of the Owl series are delivered with an interferometric measurement protocol. The Strehl value is at least 0.95!
