The Discovery Artisan 512 digital microscope is designed for studying non-transparent objects. Due to the polarizing filter, it is convenient to use for observing even shiny objects, as this filter reduces parasitic reflections. The microscope is suitable for working with jewelry pieces, electronic plates, coins, sections of metals as well as minerals and biological samples. The built-in camera allows for capturing images and shooting videos. This can be useful if you maintain digital archives of observations.

Around the 5Mpx camera, there are 8 LEDs. The illumination brightness is adjustable providing maximum convenient conditions for work. The camera provides 10–300x magnification, and an additional zoom allows for observing objects at up to 1200x magnification. A colorful and detailed image is transmitted to a built-in 5″ LCD screen. The screen makes long-term work with the device easier since it is much more convenient to look at it than through the eyepiece of a classic microscope. The color screen has good picture resolution.

The microscope can be connected to an external monitor, a TV, or a computer. The kit includes all of the necessary cables. Therefore, you don”t need to buy them separately. A memory card is used to record photos and videos (not included). MicroSD cards with a capacity up to 32GB are supported. The microscope comes with software that should be installed on a computer, providing measuring objects and many other functions. You can measure the radius, diameter, three-point angle, line length, and much more.

The microscope is powered by an AC supply or the built-in battery that provides up to three hours of continuous work.

In order for the program to operate correctly, please launch the installed application only when your microscope is connected to a PC and ready for observations.

Note: Remember that the power supply in the US and Canada is 110V, and it is 220-240V in most European countries. Please refer to the specifications table for the correct voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into a 220V outlet and vice versa without using a converter.

The Discovery Artisan 512 digital microscope is not compatible with external digital cameras.
