Product Description

Despite its impressive 2032mm focal length, the optical tube (OTA) remains incredibly short. Light enters through an aspherically figured Schmidt corrector plate, reflects off the spherical primary mirror to the secondary mirror, and passes through the central hole into the rear focuser. This ensures excellent contrast, especially during planetary observing, while the f/10 aperture ratio makes astrophotography highly accessible. Looking through the bottom end of the OTA allows for easy orientation, making it equally optimal for occasional terrestrial viewing, such as birdwatching at close range.

The 'Travel Pro' fork mount features a built-in stand, meaning it can be used with or without the included steel tripod. The NexStar hand controller features flash EPROM technology for internet updates and can slew to up to 40,000 pre-programmed objects. Additionally, the included NexRemote software enables full remote control via any PC or laptop. For ultimate convenience, an optional GPS module (sold separately) can automatically input your location coordinates and time directly from satellites.
