These instant calculations greatly reduce the amount of time between ranging the target and making the shot. And anyone who has hunted at long range will agree that plotting the ballistic solution can sometimes take longer than the target presents itself. Leading to a frustrating day in the field. Additionally, a handy “Scan Mode” allows the shooter to hold the button down and scan with active ranging. Finally, “Fog Mode” is a helpful feature while operating in inclement weather.
