ThermTec Cyclops 635L 3.0 Thermal Imaging Monocular

The ThermTec Cyclops 635L 3.0 thermal imaging monocular is an advanced high-resolution handheld device designed for hunting, outdoor observation, and property monitoring in all weather conditions and complete darkness. Equipped with a high-sensitivity 640×512 (NETD <15mK) thermal sensor, a fast 35mm F0.8 objective lens, and an integrated laser rangefinder effective up to 1000m, it delivers crisp target detail and precise distance measurement. Explore genuine ThermTec optics at SkyHunters, a premier supplier of observation gear offering full technical support and expert consultation.

Key advantages

  • 640×512 Thermal Sensor with NETD <15mK: High-sensitivity core sensor resolves fine temperature differences, producing crisp, well-defined thermal images even in poor weather or low-contrast conditions.
  • 0.5" AMOLED Display (1600×1200): High-resolution display reproduces thermal detail with strong contrast and depth, making it easier to identify targets at distance and in low light.
  • Thermal Super Resolution with 1–4x Digital Zoom: Combined with the 2.6x base magnification, continuous digital zoom up to 10.4x lets the user move from wide-area scanning to close target inspection without switching devices.
  • Integrated 1000 m Laser Rangefinder: A built-in, split-type laser rangefinder provides fast and accurate distance readings up to 1000 m (±1 m accuracy), useful for judging shot distance or assessing terrain without carrying a separate rangefinder.
  • ThermTec AI Calibration: Automatic calibration reduces shutter frequency and minimizes image freezing, keeping the picture stable and consistently clear as the monocular is panned across changing thermal scenes.

Product description

The Cyclops 3.0 series represents ThermTec's compact, handheld line of thermal imaging monoculars, positioned as an accessible entry point into the brand's broader monocular range alongside the higher-end Wild Pro and Wild-D series. The series is built for hunters, outdoor observers, and anyone who needs a lightweight, single-hand device for scanning terrain, locating game, or monitoring property after dark.

Both models in the series, the Cyclops 335L 3.0 and Cyclops 635L 3.0, share the same core design philosophy: a 0.5-inch AMOLED display with 1600×1200 resolution, a rubber-coated, ergonomic housing with a one-handed focusing wheel and thumb-operated buttons, and an integrated laser rangefinder built into the body without adding bulk. ThermTec AI Calibration is used across the series to keep the image stable and reduce shutter-induced freezing, while Thermal Super Resolution extends the usable zoom range beyond the base optical magnification.

The ThermTec Cyclops 635L 3.0 is the higher-resolution model in the Cyclops 3.0 series, built around a 640×512 thermal sensor with 12µm pixel pitch and an NETD of <15mK. This sensor combination provides a detection range of up to 1800 m and delivers a noticeably sharper, more detailed thermal picture than the entry-level 335L 3.0, making it suitable for hunters and outdoor users who need to identify game or monitor larger areas of terrain with confidence.

The 35mm F0.8 objective lens provides a 2.6x base magnification and a 12.5° x 10° field of view, while continuous 1–4x digital zoom extends the effective magnification to 10.4x, supported by Thermal Super Resolution processing that preserves image detail at higher zoom levels. The 20mm eye relief and ±5D diopter adjustment allow comfortable viewing for a range of users, including those who wear glasses.

Images are shown on a 0.5-inch AMOLED display at 1600×1200 resolution, offering six selectable color palettes and dedicated Forest/Rainy image modes for different environmental conditions. A split-type laser rangefinder is built into the housing, providing distance readings up to 1000 m with an accuracy of ±1 m, so the user can range a target without reaching for a separate device. The unit also supports photo and video recording with 64GB of built-in storage, picture-in-picture display, hot tracking, and OSD recording, and connects via Wi-Fi hotspot to a companion app for remote control and file transfer.

Power comes from a replaceable and rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery, rated for approximately 6 hours of continuous use, with a spare battery included so the monocular can stay in service through a longer day or night in the field. The housing is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance and operates across a -20°C to +50°C temperature range, while the rubber-coated frame and one-handed focusing wheel keep the device comfortable to hold and operate with a single hand.
