Product description

The CPC series was developed to provide fast setup, accurate tracking, and simplified operation. Once the integrated GPS establishes the telescope”s exact position, the SkyAlign system allows users to align the telescope by pointing at any three bright celestial objects without requiring knowledge of star names.

The NexStar® computerized control system models the night sky and provides direct access to a database containing over 40,000 celestial objects. User-definable filter limits help exclude objects blocked by local horizon obstacles such as trees or buildings.

The Identify function allows the telescope to identify nearby celestial objects in the selected area of the sky and offers direct GOTO navigation. The Solar System Align feature also supports daytime observations of the Sun, Moon, bright planets, and stars.

The hand-figured Schmidt-Cassegrain optical system with StarBright XLT coatings delivers enhanced image brightness, contrast, and optical efficiency. The redesigned heavy-duty tripod with 2-inch steel legs provides stable support during observation sessions.
