The Sky-Watcher AC 102/500 is an uncomplicated instrument of short overall length designed for viewing the heavens or for terrestrial observing. Equipped with a 102mm objective lens, it allows a glimpse into the vastness of the universe at an accessible price point. Its short focal length classifies it as a rich-field telescope, offering outstanding wide-angle observation. This refractor provides higher resolution than a standard 70mm scope (1.14 arc-seconds resolution), revealing greater detail during planetary observing. Bright deep-sky targets like the Andromeda Galaxy or the Orion Nebula appear with an almost three-dimensional presence inside the expansive field of view.

The single-arm AZ-Go2 mount is compact and lightweight. Due to the mount”s curved single-tine design, the optical tube avoids contact with the mount even when pointed directly toward the zenith. The computerized GoTo system selects celestial targets from an extensive database and points the scope precisely toward them.

Remote operation is facilitated via integrated Wi-Fi and the free SynScan app, which receives regular software updates. Control via optional hand paddles is also supported. Power can be supplied via the integrated 8x AA battery compartment or an external 12V/1A power pack.
