Evolux telescopes are perfect wide field instruments, ideal for observing and photographing larger sections of the sky. Since its introduction, the Star Adventurer has been setting new standards amongst the most lightweight and portable astrophotography mounts. With the Star Adventurer GTi, Sky-Watcher takes the next step, making it the perfect solution for all astrophotographers looking for the ultimate combination of high power and lightweight transportability.

The Star Adventurer GTi mount is equipped with a built-in illuminated polarscope for precise orientation. It has a USB interface, an autoguider connector, and can be controlled using hand-held controls if desired. Furthermore, a connection socket for DSLR cameras is available, which can be programmed using the Sky-Watcher SynScan Pro app for iOS and Android. To use the mount near the equator, the counterweight shaft can be attached to a second threaded sleeve. Using the integrated Wi-Fi, the mount can be controlled via a smartphone or tablet using the SynScan app. With its GoTo function and adjustable tracking speeds for the Moon, the Sun, and the stars, you have every opportunity to discover and photograph the skies. With a load capacity of up to 5kg, the mount can carry heavy DSLR or mirrorless cameras with telephoto lenses, or small refracting telescopes with an astro-camera. It accommodates all telescopes with Vixen-style prism rails and connects to tripods via a 3/8” camera thread. It features an internal battery compartment but can also be powered by a 12-volt external power source.

An optional flattener/reducer is available for photography. This aid ensures sharp stellar images, even at the corners of the image field, by correcting the field curvature naturally caused by primary optics that makes stars at the edge of the field of view appear less sharp. The flattener is installed between the telescope and the camera, allowing astrophotographers to enjoy sharp images right out to the edge of the exposure. It also reduces the focal length, turning the Evolux into a speedy, four-lens corrected lens for faster aperture ratios and shorter required exposure times, expanding the field of view for even larger astronomical objects.
