The NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Kids' Metal Detector is specially engineered for young explorers aged 6 and above. When it detects metal, an audible tone alerts the user while the 6.6 cm (2.6") LCD screen displays the signal intensity. As the coil approaches the concealed metal object, the acoustic alert becomes more frequent and the screen reflects the closer proximity.

Featuring an IP67 waterproof search coil, this detector can be safely submerged in shallow water, streams, or wet beach sand. On dry ground as well as in the shallows, it reliably detects metal objects down to a depth of up to 10 cm. The switchable LCD backlight keeps the display clearly readable even as daylight fades.

To accommodate children of various heights, the shaft length adjusts continuously between 400 and 780 mm. An ergonomic handle reduces hand fatigue during extended sessions.
