A stereomicroscope with Greenough optical design offers precise details about surface topography while maintaining spatial orientation, ensuring a high depth of field when observing three-dimensional objects.
The microscope smoothly changes magnification from 6.7x to 45x while retaining a working distance of 105mm. It features built-in transmitted and reflected light illuminators for examining transparent and opaque objects. The microscope allows the installation of polarization light and dark field accessories.
The digital microscope camera allows for recording the observation process and its intermediate and final results. A 20MP sensor ensures the necessary resolution on the stereomicroscope. A 1" sensor with a 1x adapter displays on a computer screen a field of view of 19.5x13.1mm at the microscope's lowest magnification.
The microscope is used in restoration, assembly, quality control, as well as in zoology and botany.
Digital Camera
The MAGUS CDF70 digital camera features low noise and high light sensitivity. The camera is suitable for working within the complete magnification range of the microscope's objective, ranging from 0.67x to 4.5x.
The sensor size is 1". Therefore, a 1x C-mount adapter is used for attaching the camera to the microscope. This sensor is intended to "show the largest possible field of view without distortion" with the 1x adapter.
The 20MP sensor produces a realistic image at 5440x3648px resolution. In this resolution, the frame rate is 20 frames per second, which is sufficient for adjusting the microscope's focus.
At resolutions of 2736x1824px and 1824x1216px, the frame rate increases to 48 and 58 frames per second, respectively. Transition between frames becomes smoother, and the camera captures small movements of the object. These modes are suitable for classroom demonstrations, video recording, and tracking moving objects.
USB 3.0 allows data transfer speed 10 times faster than USB 2.0.
Microscope Head
The trinocular head is 360° rotatable and can be locked in any desired position. A digital camera is mounted using a C-mount adapter through the trinocular tube.
The light path does not change. The split ratio is fixed: 80% to the eyepieces and 20% to the trinocular tube. The user observes the image simultaneously through the eyepieces and on the screen.
The basic configuration includes 10x/22mm eyepieces with diopters for eye relief when working with glasses.
Zoom Lens
The lens allows smooth magnification changes up to 6.7 times without losing focus, maintaining a large working distance of 105mm. The microscope generates an upright (non-inverted) three-dimensional image. Auxiliary objective lenses change the microscope's magnification range, field of view, and working distance.
Focusing Mechanism
The long focus knobs are located on both sides of the base. The tension of long focus can be adjusted.
Baseplate
The choice between a phosphor glass or a black-and-white plate depends on the sample being studied. A phosphor glass plate provides even illumination and optimal light diffusion for observing transmitted and transparent objects. The black-and-white plate is selected for viewing oval objects on a contrasting background: black side for light objects and white side for dark objects.
Light Sources
The microscope has a 3W LED transmitted and a 3W LED angled illumination light source. LED life is 50,000 hours.
Accessories
A wide range of accessories is available for the microscope.
Eyepieces and auxiliary objective lenses extend the microscope's magnification range.
Digital cameras transmit microscope images to a monitor.
C-mount adapters connect the camera to the microscope. The adapter magnification is chosen according to the camera sensor size.
Calibration slides are used for measuring samples. Stereomicroscope calibration slides have a scale value of 0.1mm.
Polarizer/analyzer sets are used for studying anisotropic samples.
A dark field condenser with a gem clamp allows for the examination of valuable and semi-precious stones.
Ring lighting is used for illuminating shadow-casting objects in the work area with reflected light.
Ring lighting with a polarizer is used to remove excessive glare from highly polished metal surfaces.
A mechanical base offers smooth movement of samples along two axes and provides added convenience for users when working with magnifications over 20x.
Ring lighting with sector control and flexible tube lamp is used for setting the illumination in the work area. The light is at a chosen angle, creating necessary light shadows for observations, while certain parts of the sample remain illuminated.
Universal bases allow you to extend the work area, giving more freedom to position the microscope head over the workplace.
