Product description

The Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain optical design combines a long focal length with a compact optical tube. Light passes through an aspherically figured Schmidt corrector plate, reflects from the spherical primary mirror to the secondary mirror, and then back through the central opening of the primary mirror into the focuser.

The closed optical tube design minimizes internal air turbulence and helps protect the optics from dust. The StarBright XLT multi-coating improves brightness and reduces stray light reflections.

The C9.25 optical tube is known for particularly high contrast among Schmidt-Cassegrain models due to its longer optical tube design. The telescope is suitable for visual observation and astrophotography, with an extensive range of compatible accessories available.

The main mirror focusing system provides a large focusing range for use with various accessories. Pre-loaded ball bearings help minimize mirror shift during focusing.

The Advanced VX equatorial mount is designed for mobile astrophotography with telescopes up to 14 kg. PEC correction reduces periodic tracking errors commonly associated with worm gear systems, allowing longer exposure astrophotography.
