The BRESSER Advance ICD 10x-160x Zoom Stereo Microscope is a trinocular stereo microscope with a Greenough optical design, 1x–4x stereo zoom and magnification from 10x to 160x depending on the eyepieces and auxiliary lens used. Its three-dimensional view is particularly useful for practical work such as soldering, dissecting and preparing samples.

Product description

The Greenough optical design with two tilted objectives provides a three-dimensional view of the specimen. This is especially helpful when working under the microscope, for example when soldering, dissecting or preparing samples.

The precise zoom provides a continuous magnification range of 1x–4x. Only slight refocusing is required when changing the magnification. The microscope uses a precise coaxial coarse and fine focus system. Fine focusing is particularly useful at high magnifications and for imaging. When using BRESSER MikroCam cameras for focus stacking, the fine focus is also a valuable aid.

The interpupillary distance can be adjusted from 52 to 72 mm. Both eyepiece holders feature diopter adjustment, allowing users to compensate for up to 8 dpt. difference between the left and right eye. The 10x widefield eyepieces have a field number of FN 22 and soft rubber eyecups.

The microscope head can be moved along the long rod of the stand, allowing observation of large samples up to 22 cm in height.

The angle of the bright LED reflected-light illumination can be adjusted as required. The extra-bright and even LED transmitted light provides a flat background for transparent samples. A switch allows reflected light, transmitted light or a combination of both to be selected. Brightness is adjustable with the dimmer. The LED illumination does not heat up the sample, allowing longer observation of living specimens. The long-lasting LED is powered by a 5V AC adapter (EU/UK) with a USB plug.

The microscope includes a 2x auxiliary lens. Other auxiliary objectives are also available and can be used to adjust magnification, working distance and depth of focus according to the application.

Basic magnification configurations:

• 10x eyepieces: 10x–40x;
• 10x eyepieces + 2x auxiliary lens: 20x–80x;
• 20x eyepieces: 20x–80x;
• 20x eyepieces + 2x auxiliary lens: 80x–160x.

Other magnifications are possible when using other auxiliary lenses and/or eyepieces.

The third tube is designed for permanent camera attachment. The image from the left eyepiece can be diverted to the camera port using the switch. A selection of camera adapters is available for DSLR, mirrorless and C-mount microscope cameras.
