Product description
The meteorite Erg Chech 002, or EC 002 for short, was discovered in May 2020 in the Erg Chech region of the Sahara Desert in southwestern Algeria (Adrar province). The total discovered mass of the entire find was 31.78 kg, and it is scientifically classified as an ungrouped achondrite.
Its material structure is remarkably similar to terrestrial andesite, a rock also known as islandite, which is a volcanic rock belonging to the magmatic rock group. Each individual specimen is entirely unique, and the weight varies within the specified 0.7 to 0.99g range. Please note that the product image is similar; the actual dimensions of the meteorite depend directly on its weight.
