The Ermenrich PL40 Optical Level is designed for taking measurements on the ground: height differences, angles, and distances. Its design uses a pendulum compensator with a magnetic damper to reduce vibrations more effectively than similar devices that use an air damper. Therefore, the Ermenrich PL40 level is well-suited for use on construction sites around heavy machinery that create strong vibrations. It also copes better with vibrations that are caused by the wind.

The level optics provide 32x magnification. The working distance is 120 meters – at this distance the E-shaped scale on the leveling rod is visible. The millimeter scale is visible at a distance of up to 50 meters. The device is not all-weather. It is protected against water spray and dust particles. It is compatible with 5/8" standard tripods and comes with the necessary alignment tools.

Optical levels are widely used by professionals, but they can also be useful for amateur construction works, for example, when building a house or leveling a field. Its capabilities are also useful for landscape design projects.

Please note: To take measurements with the optical level, a tower ruler and tripod (not included) are required.
